Friendship Awards

Last term, we had a friendship term!

All around the school were quotes related to being a good friend (I always have quotes of a theme around the school). We also discussed the recipe for a friend at assembly time and during circle times in class.

Simple nomination forms were made available: who was being nominated, why and by whom. From the masses I received, I chose some for presentation at assemblies. Teachers made sure that there was a good reason on the form – not just ‘because they are always there for me!’

Children loved the whole thing, and a lot of good discussions came out.
