What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file which is placed on your device, which helps analyse web traffic and provide other services for users and sites. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

How are cookies used?

Overall, cookies help us to provide you with a better website by providing additional features and by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data that you choose to share with us.

How can I make choices about cookies on my computer?

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. How are cookies used on Teaching Ideas?

Teaching Ideas uses Clicky to track and monitor statistics about visits to the site. Clicky does not use tracking cookies.
