I’m sure someone has done this before, but I used this recently, and it was very successful. Not finding anything very inspiring elsewhere, I thought of ‘Paperchain’. I typed a list of the days of the week, not in the right order and photocopied it onto A3 paper for each child.
They cut out the strips and joined each one with a coloured strip in-between, putting the days in the correct order. It is a lovely, colourful visual aid and is now strung across the ceiling.
It worked so well that next week our Year 2 class are doing a similar activity but with the months of the year.
