The resources below can be used to help children realise that they don’t need to learn all 144 times tables facts. For example, if they know that 8 x 4 = 32, they also know 4 x 8.
The 1x, 10x and (many of the 11x) are also quite easy to remember, so that means there are even fewer to learn.
The poster is available with the times tables in numerical order and in order of difficulty. A separate version is also included to show a times tables square.
Matching activity sheets are also available to download. Can your children fill in the missing answers in the blank spaces?
