Claire Freedman Fact Cards

Claire Freedman, the author of ‘Aliens Love Underpants’, ‘Monstersaurus’ and many other popular children’s books, has kindly helped us to make these fact cards about her life. There are twenty facts on the resources below, along with a blank template so that children can make their own.

These cards could be used in a number of different ways in the classroom:

• Display the fact cards on an ‘Author of the Week / Month’ display.
• Give children copies of these fact cards, along with our other fact cards for different authors. Ask your pupils to match the cards to the correct author. How are the authors similar / different?
• Write a biography about Claire’s life using the information on these cards and other research that your class may have done.
• Use the blank template to make your own fact cards about Claire.
• Think of a list of questions that you would like to ask Claire if you had a chance.
