Whilst out fishing, two men have a little fun with some of their false teeth!

Watch this video with your children, and then try some of our teaching and activity ideas below.

(Thanks to Lucrecia Gaitan for suggesting this video)

Teaching Ideas and Resources:

English

  • Listen to the audio first (without showing the video itself). What can you hear? Who are the people? What are they doing?
  • Write some narration for the video.
  • Retell the story of the video from the point of view of one of the men.
  • Write some instructions to teach people how to look after their teeth.
  • Think of some dialogue for the characters. What might they say to each other?
  • Pause the video at different points and think of some speech / thought bubbles for each of the men.
  • Can you act out this story and perform it for an audience?
  • Write a story that explains what happens to the men next.

Science

  • Carry out some research into the topic of teeth. Why do we have teeth? Are there different types of teeth? How are human teeth different from the teeth of other creatures?

Design Technology

  • Carry out some research into the topic of teeth. Why do we have teeth? Are there different types of teeth? How are human teeth different from the teeth of other creatures?

Art

  • Create a storyboard that retells the events of the video.

Music

  • Listen to the music in the video. What instruments can you hear? How would you describe the music?

Geography

  • Where are the men? Can you look on a map to find a location where this video might be set?
  • How would you describe the landscape in this area?

PSHE

  • Pause the video at different points and look at the facial expression of each of the men. How are they feeling?
  • Think about what makes you laugh. How can we make others laugh?
