Titanic Image Pack

Download this collection of free images and use them as part of your Titanic topic.

They could be used in a number of ways in the classroom:

• Ask children to examine each image carefully and write a detailed description of what they can see.
• Challenge students to think of questions to ask others about the photos.
• Imagine you are standing where the photo was taken. What can you see and hear? What does it feel like to be there?
• Use some of the pictures as inspiration for drawing, sketching and other art activities.
• Choose one image and ask pupils to create a short narrative about the moment just before or after the photo was taken.
• What clues in the image tell us about life on board, the weather, the time of day or the people involved?
• Generate a word bank (e.g., maritime, hull, lifeboat, deck, distress) based on the images and use it for writing tasks.
