Allergy Awareness Week

How do allergies affect people? What different types of allergies are there? Find out about these issues and raise awareness of how to deal with allergies during Allergy Awareness Week.

Here are some suggested teaching ideas:

• Investigate different types of allergies and how they affect people.
• Make a poster / report to teach people about allergies.
• Conduct a survey to find out how many people in your class / school suffer from different allergies.
• Carry out an interview with somebody who suffers from allergies. How does it affect their life? What steps can they take to reduce their symptoms?
