It was around president’s day, and I made up a worksheet in which I started the sentence…
“If I were president, I would….”
I asked the students to fill in anything they would want to do if they were president. The responses were amazing. I thought that this would be a good way for students to see the good ideas other students have.
This idea can be adapted in a variety of ways, encouraging children to think about what they would do in other people’s situation (e.g. prime minister, queen, manager of a sports team, headteacher at school).
