The resources below can be used when children are thinking about the setting / location for their story writing:
- Use the Settings / Locations banners as part of a classroom display. How many different types of story settings can the children think of?
- Give the children a random ‘Settings card’ and ask them to describe that setting. What words / phrases could they use?
- Ask children to choose one of the settings cards and write a story based in that location.
- Give children more than one card and ask them to use them as different locations within the same story.
