Punctuation Points Posters
A full set of punctuation points posters (including the points values).
David Mitchell has suggested a fantastic way of encouraging children to use punctuation in their writing. Different types of punctuation have a value attached to them. When children are assessing their own writing (or the writing of others), they count the total value of the punctuation that they have used. Read more about the idea and see lots of comments from other teachers on David's blog here.
He has kindly allowed me to create some resources based on his idea, all of which can be downloaded below. If you have any comments or suggestions about the 'Punctuation Points' activity, please leave a comment on David's blog post.

These are great to get boys on board with punctuation- I would have put fullstops and capital letters at 1 point and commas at 2! So great to have the blank pack but need a blank capital letter too.

Lovely idea, like the poster will use it as a laminated 'mat' on the tables. Thanks.

I'm surprised by your game to make students much better at punctuation. Excellent material!! Thank you!! My text books to teach EFL completely ignore this subject, that's sad.
