As part of an RE / Arts week, the class worked together to build a sukkah in their classroom. They researched how to build one online, then used various materials they could find in the classroom to construct it. String was used to create a simple roof, and this was then covered with branches and leaves. Posters and books about Judaism were then added to the inside of the Sukkah. Although it was built inside, they hung stars above it, so they could see them through their roof. The children were all really enthused about making the sukkah, and were really keen to eat their lunch in there too!
