Musical Instruments Fact Cards
Discover some fascinating facts about musical instruments and share them with the children in your music lessons!
This is a great idea that really starts kids off well in your school with rules etc for music..... This is very important if you are to progress any further.....
Introduce a percussion instrument (e.g. tambourine).... Show the different ways that this can be played (eg: bang, tap, scrape, jingle, flick...). Pass the instrument around the circle and get the children to make a different sound to the one their neighbour has just made.
Another is if you have an ocean drum... try passing it round the circle in silence. You'll be amazed how intriguing this is for the kids... they love trying to do it.

This sounds good. I like the silent drum, will make kids be quiet for once.
