Palindromes are words or sentences that read the same forwards and backwards (e.g. Hannah, kayak, race car). Here are some teaching ideas and resources to teach children about palindromes:
- Use the poster to teach children about palindromes.
- Put the banner / poster on display in your classroom.
- Challenge pupils to think of / find more examples of palindromes.
- Ask pupils to choose a palindrome and draw a picture of what it shows. Can they choose a palindrome, draw a picture and challenge others to guess the palindrome that it refers to?
