This activity is great for a rainy or snowy day when your students are driving you up the wall!
Or it can be a good project to use on the first day of school to get everyone to get to know each other.
Organise the children into groups of 2 or 3, with people they don't know. Then give each group a bag filled with art supplies: Paper, cottonballs, googly eyes, foam, beads, anything will do.
Then they have to make some type of invention or craft using everything in that bag in someway.
When their invention is finished, they can put on a presentation for the rest of the class explaining their invention or craft (what is it? how does it work? how was it made? what is it made from?).
This not only gets their creativity going, but it also enhances their social and drama skills.

You know some people looking at this site aren't all teachers. Like me, I am just a student.
