These photos show different types of bags. Here are some ideas for using them in the classroom:
- Look at each bag. What materials have been used to make it?
- How have the bags been constructed? What shapes were the materials cut to before the bags were assembled?
- Who is the bag aimed at? Who would buy it? What might they use it for? Which of the bags would you give to your mum / dad / friend / teacher? Why?
- Test different types of bags for different purposes. Which will hold the most weight? Which is the most waterproof?
- Think about the cost of each bag. How much would it cost to make? How much would it cost to buy?
- Think about the environmental impact of using different types of bags.
- Design your own bag, using some of the ideas in the pictures.
- Make a set of instructions to teach others how to make a bag.
