Target Charts
A set of extremely useful target charts for children to complete.
This activity takes about half an hour. It's a great, fun way to test children's knowledge of the various topics taught that term.
Put all of the children's names into a box, and set five chairs out at the front.
Ask a question, THEN pick a name out. If that child answers correctly, he / she becomes one of the five contestants. Repeat until five children are sitting at the front.
Go through each of the five in turn asking questions. If the child gets it right, he / she gets a tally. If he / she gets it wrong, pick another name out of the hat and repeat the question. If THAT child gets it right, he / she comes to the front. If not, the original child stays 'alive'.
Have a prize waiting for the child who ends up with most tallies at the end of the quiz.
A class record sheet, which can be used to keep assessment records about individual children in your class.
Simply add your children's names to this page and use it as a handy way to record scores. This also works well as a simple tick-list!
