Mountains of the World

Use these amazing photos as part of your mountains topic! They’re perfect for your classroom display boards and to use in your Geography lessons. Try some of these related ideas:

• Challenge your children to find the mountains on a map. Could they plot all of the locations?
• Can your children find out more information about the mountains shown? Could they write a report about one (or more) of them?
• Find out the heights of the mountains on the posters and make a graph that compares them.
• Discuss the images shown on the posters. How are they similar / different?
• Plan a trip to one of the mountains. How far is the journey? How could you get there? What would you need to take?
• Use one of the photos as the setting for your own piece of fiction writing.
