Keep yourself safe when you are searching the web!

The last page showed you three great search engines for children. There are lots of different search engines online, and it's important to keep yourself safe whichever one you use.

Here are a few things to remember...

	Search carefully If you take care with your spelling and use lots of search terms, your searches should be quicker and safer. Remember the cool searching tips that you learned earlier!
Look out for adverts Lots of search sites have adverts on them, so make sure you are looking at your search results and not the 'sponsored links'.
	Change the search settings Some search engines let you change their settings so that you should only see safe results. Look for the 'Options' or 'Preferences' on the search home page.
Tell an adult If you come across something that isn't very nice, or that makes you feel uncomfortable, tell an adult who you trust.
