Body Parts
Subject: Science
(This idea was contributed by Patrick Glackin)
Age Range: 7 to 11

Get two hoops - a red one and a blue one (for veins and arteries).

Now, pick children to be the heart, lungs and liver.

The remaining children are the blood. They wait for the heart to give them a piggy-back to the next point.

You can also add cigarettes and alcohol that try to slow down the organs. This exercise shows the children how smoking, alcohol and drugs can affect the body. It also shows how the organs work and how the blood travels.
