Rangoli Patterns
Subject: Religious Education
(This idea was contributed by Amy Kiri)
Age Range: 5 to 11

This idea relates to Hinduism at the time of Divali.

Children can make effective rangoli patterns on square pieces of sand paper to obtain the powder effect of rangoli patterns. They can paint simple patterns or copy patterns from a stimulus e.g (a book on divali) on to the sand paper.

Try it! They look great!
