Naomi Yeates has contributed a number of resources related to a Sports Fun
Day that her school runs. It uses mixed aged teams across the whole primary
school with Year 6 acting as 'team leaders'. The activities are multi-skill
based so there is a huge range but the most important thing is the focus
on fun. Every child can achieve on this day! Most schools should have the
equipment required.
The teachers, TAs and parents help out with explaining
each station to the teams as they arrive, and each team has a teacher /
TA attached to them to score. We spend 5 minutes at each station and this
is plenty of time for everyone to have a go.
