The Dinner Train
Subject: Music
(This idea was contributed by Liz Clayton)
Age Range: 5 to 11

This is a rhythm thing. It's called "The Dinner Train" - your "Tea Coffee" one inspired me to remember this from campfires! This chant sounds like a train getting faster and faster. You say each menu item 4 times. It's a dinner menu in reverse. The last one, SOUP, is just done once, like the train's whistle - very loud and long and high-pitched. It's really funny!

It goes like this:

Coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee,
cheese and biscuits (x4)
fruit and custard (x4)
beef and carrots (x4)
fish and chips (x4)
SOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!!!!!!!!
