Ask your children to write down the alphabet and then write any animal next to the letter. eg:
A - ant
B - baboon
C - cat
D - dog
E - elephant
F - fish

and so on...

I did this activity with my children and they enjoyed it, and it can build up their wall of words.

This activity can also be tried with lots of other topics... names / countries etc.
