Christmas:

  • Class Christmas Tree - Make a Christmas tree with your class using this simple technique.
  • Following Instructions PDF Document - A simple and quick activity for Christmas which motivates the children but also helps them to learn how to follow instructions carefully. Use the template and ask the children to follow your instructions as to what presents to draw and what colours to use etc. Contributed by Abby Manton.

  • Journey Through Time PDF Document - A useful PDF about Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem. Originally created for use by Year 4 children. Contributed by Janice Jenkins.
Easter:
  • The Easter Story - This easy method can be used to help children remember the events of Easter.
  • The Easter Story - Use a popular musical DVD to teach the Easter story.
  • The Events of the Easter Story - Use this effective idea to learn about the events of the Easter Story.
  • Easter Sequencing Activity - Activity in which the children have to put the events of Easter into the correct order.
  • Easter Wordsearch PDF Document - A fun wordsearch asking children to find vocabulary related to Easter. Contributed by Janice Jenkins.
  • Palm Sunday PDF Document - A PDF worksheet asking children to think about Palm Sunday, by looking at how it is told in the Bible. Originally created for use by Year 4 children. Contributed by Janice Jenkins.
  • Easter Egg Hunt - Sue Gurney set up an Easter Egg hunt and has provided the resources, so that you might be able to set up your own by modifying the clues as appropriate:
Halloween:
  • Halloween Ideas - A selection of ideas which may be useful for Halloween.
  • Pumpkin Autobiographies - Ask your children to write an autobiography, and complete this creative Art activity at the same time!
  • Global Pumpkins - Get your class to paint a pumpkin to teach them about global geography!
