Emotions:
  • Emotions Powerpoint Presentation - A thought-provoking Powerpoint presentation, which can be used as a stimulus for discussing different types of emotions.
  • Expressing Feelings PDF document - A worksheet, encouraging children to think of vocabulary, linked to particular feelings. Contributed by Kirsty Scott.
  • What makes you feel...? - An interesting activity to encourage children to think about their feelings.
  • Worry Box - Help to resolve any worries children may have using this discrete technique.
  • Warm Fuzzies and Cold Pricklies - Encourage children to share warm fuzzy feelings, rather than cold pricklies!
  • Final Thoughts - Make your final thoughts of the day nice ones, which reward children for their good deeds!
Developing Confidence:
  • Feel Good Box - Boost children's self-confidence with a feel good box for your classroom.
  • Favourites Bingo - An excellent way of getting children to mix and find out more about each other.
  • What is Special about You? - A fun activity which increases children's self-confidence and emphasises what is special about each person in your class.
  • Positive Qualities - A circle time activity where children say positive things about each other, and guess who said what!
  • The Click Cup - Encourage positive behaviour and boost self-esteem using this idea.
  • Private Response - Encourage children to think of positive things about each other using this clever technique.
  • Special Person Garden - Make a garden to show your children how special they are!
  • Post a Note! - An enjoyable way of raising self-esteem and strengthening friendships.
  • Give them a Hand - A lovely idea to remind children of their positive qualities.
