I use a "ticket" reward system for groups in my class. Tickets are awarded for good behaviour, quiet working, quick tidying, etc.

We count up the tickets and the best group get a trophy and a sweet.

The children get quite competitive with other groups and "encourage" others in their group who might not be pulling their weight. Isn't peer pressure a wonderful thing!
