Manners Chart

(This idea was contributed by Najneed Haque)
Age Range: 5 to 11

I had a very noisy class last year. I was puzzled about what to do with them. Then I tried the following activity, which worked really well.

The class was divided into two groups. I just wrote the names of the children and then every week I put stickers on the chart. If they behaved nicely, they got big a smiling face and if they weren't good then they got gloomy face. It was also mentioned on the chart for whom they got the gloomy face.

At the end of the month I used to count the faces. The children who were in the winning team then received their own sticker.

It really worked!
