This works well for an older class - not sure for the younger ones!

At the beginning of the year I laminate their names and use them as a way to monitor homework. I make a colourful display titled simply Homework, when the children hand in their homework they have to take their blu-tacked name down from the display - they get great satisfaction from this.

I can simply see who is still to hand in homework and it gives them a great sense of responsibility.

It also fills an awkward section of wall nicely!
