Hall Pass Challenge
Topic: Classroom Management
(This idea was contributed by Mary Angel Alim-Flores)
Age Range: 7 to 11

PROCEDURES for GOING OUT of the CLASSROOM
(Lavatory, Health Suite, Office, etc.)

First, the student will choose a Maths question (written on a paper) on the Maths basket. Then they will write their answer along with the name, time and place of destination on the same paper. After that they will drop that paper on the Math box beside the Math basket. Finally, they may get the hall pass hanging on the wall above the Math box.

NOTE: One person at a time leaves the room with the hall pass.

* Allotted time: 3-5 minutes
** The questions can be changed to the subject area that the teacher is teaching. In this way, the students will think first and be ready for the challenge before going to the bathroom or other destination.
