In our school, instead of having class numbers or letters, we can choose an animal as our class name.

This year my class are the Meerkats. I bought a Meerkat cuddly toy which we called Marvin, and he sits at the front of the class. Each Friday, the star of the week takes Marvin home for the weekend and fills in his diary.

A great incentive and good for literacy skills!
