When your children have to sit on the carpet and concentrate and they are a bit fidgetty (rainy break etc.) this idea helps.

Get the children to stand up and do an exercise (rub head and tummy, Grand Old Duke of York, etc.). This can be used with any age or ability and does break the cycle of being silly.
