Behaviour Train
Topic: Classroom Management
(This idea was contributed by Dorothy Hullah)
Age Range: 5 ot 11

A large train is placed on the wall with several carriages behind.

Each child is represented in the carriages by name and with a little cartoon character. There is also a station called Missed Playtime Station.

If a child is misbehaving during a session they are removed from the train and placed in the station. If the child modifies their behaviour before play time they can be returned to the train.

Any child who is off the train at the end of the lesson will spend his or her playtime inside.

Very effective as a management tool.
