Understanding Word Problems

Age Range: 5 to 11

Now that cross curricular activities are being encouraged, in my class during comprehension time, we go through the understanding of maths word problems.

This makes the maths fun because we do not find the answers, but we do work together to increase the children's understanding of what the word problem is asking them to do.
