Maths Up!
Subject: Maths
(This idea was contributed by a visitor)
Age Range: 5 to 7

A good review of the multiplication facts is to play a game called "Maths - UP".

How to Play:

Four to five students are asked to come to the front of the room.  The rest of the students are asked to put their heads down and their thumb up.

The students at the front each choose one student with their head down.  Then the teacher calls "Math-Up".

The students in the front ask the student they chose a multiplication fact.  If they answer correctly they exchange places.  If they don't they sit down and the other person stays in front of the room. The asker has to be able to tell if the answer was correct or incorrect.

This game can continue for as long as you wish, and can also be used to practice other Maths skills (addition, subtraction, division etc.).
