Days of the Week
Sara Neville
Age Range: 5 to 7
I'm sure someone has done this before but I used this recently and it was very successful. Not finding anything very inspiring elsewhere I thought of 'Paperchain'. I typed a list of the days of the week, not in the right order and photocopied onto A3 paper for each child.
They cut out the strips and joined each one with a coloured strip in-between putting the days in the correct order. It is a lovely, colourful visual aid and is now strung across the ceiling.
It worked so well that next week our Year 2 class are doing a similar activity but with the months of the year.
