Possible Activities related to this...

1) Ask the children to look at the table, and to think about which of the languages are related.

2) Ask the children to make up some sums using these different languages, e.g. Samoan - what is lima add iva? They could then ask their friends these questions.

3) Ask the children to make up their own words for the numbers 1 to 10.

4) Try and find out how to count to ten in some more different languages.
