A great idea for PSHE and mental maths.
Put about 6 chairs on the edge of the carpet area. Ask the children a question, if they get it right they can sit on one of the chairs. When the chairs are full, children must ask another child if they can have their chair.
It encourages manners, and sharing as well as getting the children thinking about Maths - they want to get the answer right so that they can sit on those chairs!!!
