Mike Fleetham has done a brilliant job in writing a scheme of work for introducing children to computers. Rather than dealing with learning how to use software, the ideas in the school aim to teach the following:
- how to use the computer room safely
- the structure and advantages of the computer room
- how to log on / off, and how to shut down / turn on a workstation (computer)
- how to start applications
- how to load and save files in personal / shared areas.

a set of cards which show the main vocabulary which the scheme aims to introduce.
