Ordering Events
Subject: History
(This idea was contributed by Krissie Williams)
Age Range: 5 to 11

This game can be played with any age range, depending on what time line you use!

First, print A4 cards with historical events on about the era you have been studying... Next, hand these out to the class, not in order and get them you stand in order of where they should be on the timeline regarding the events on their cards. This should be done in complete silence.

One or two students should not be given a card. The job of these students is to make sure everyone is standing in the right place at the end and to re-order anyone standing in the wrong place.

This game can be played again and again. It will boost the learning of children in a particular area. You'll have lots of fun playing this game! Give it a try for a lively and fun approach to learning!
