Where would you like to go?
Subject: Geography
(This idea was contributed by Laura)
Age Range: 7 to 11

A great idea for an early job or geography time filler...

Hand out an atlas between two, ask the chidlren to draw a detailed map of a country they would love to visit. Ask them to locate the country's capital city and record any important features.

The children love it and it is an ideal way to develop map drawing skills and improve their use of the atlas itself.
