Passports Please!
Subject: Geography
(This idea was contributed by Stacy Nunn)
Age Range: 5 to 11

Following a unit on immigration we packed up our suitcases with magazine clippings and wrote in our passports to immigrate from another country to America.

The passport insides included brief messages of each day of our trip to America, whether we were traveling by boat or plane. The suitcases had to have clippings of things that an actual immigrant would pack, such as boots, money, a stash of food, or their 1 favorite toy. Things like cell phones, vehicles, and fur coats would not be realistic for most immigrants.

It is a fun assessment.
