Verb / Number Volleyball
Subject: Foreign Languages
(This idea was contributed by Maria Arnone)
Age Range: 5 to 11

This is a great idea to spontaneously generate conjugations or number patterns from the students.

Use a large rubber ball and have the students stand in a circle. One student starts out by throwing the ball to any of his/her fellow students and counting. This continues with random throwing as numbers increase.

Same game can be used for verb exercises or the alphabet.

Even though it puts children "on the spot" it still is a great deal of fun!
