This can be adjusted for all age levels.
Using nametags, help students imagine that they are at a large French family reunion. Each nametag has their name and family name.
Give them a Geneology Chart and have them introduce themselves to each other matching their relationships.
You can also remove the chart and indicate on the nametag a single relationship. After they mingle and meet each other, they can arrange themselves according to their relationships.
