Verb and Adverb Actions
Subject: Literacy
(This idea was contributed by Charlene Maxwell)
Age Range: 7 to 11

Choose a child to come out to the front of the class e.g. Sally.

Sally then asks someone to choose a verb e.g. eating.

She then picks someone to choose an adverb e.g quickly.

Sally now has to act out the verb and the adverb by eating quickly.

The children have great fun and it can be extremely funny.
