Use phrases or quotes daily and discuss their meaning.

Have the students write the quote in their own words. As the children become more confident, get them to find a quote/phrase daily, using the internet.

They can then use ICT to print their quote and the original. These can be displayed; one half of the board containing the original, the other with the children's versions. If you add lengths of string to the originals, the quotes can be matched up 'interactively'.
