Egyptian Instructions
Subject: Literacy

Age Range: 7 to 11

Demonstrate how to make a stuffed date. In pairs children have a go at telling the other what to do. As a written lesson / homework, children to write out instructions. For lower ability give a set of statements in the wrong order theat they must cut and stick into order and number.

Follow instructions to make a range of Egyptian artefacts:

Discuss what was common to all instruction sheets/different. Which were the easiest to follow/most difficult and why?

Choose an Egyptian artifact from a book and try to make it, write instructions for it.
