Winter Pictures
Subject: Early Years
(This idea was contributed by Claire Robinson)
Age Range: Early Years

This is a piece of creative work completed after discussions on winter weather looking at snow, ice and frost.

The children painted a winter scene with white paint on dark blue sugar paper. Once they had finished, they sprinkled silver glitter over their painting. The end result is a winter scene with a sparkly effect just like frost and ice. The children loved it!!

I displayed it on a dark background and I sprayed fake snow on the backing paper and we hung paper snowflakes in front.
