Collect the containers from the small yoghurt drinks. You need one for each child. Half fill these with a variety of objects such as lentils in some, chick peas in others etc until you have about 5 or 6 groups.

Play 'Find That Sound', where the children seek out others with the same sound. Once the children are in their teams you have an orchestra!

You can make up a variety of rhythms, explore stopping and starting, loud / soft, fast / slow etc.

Make sure the objects make a reasonable sound... porridge is too quiet!
