Take your roamer shopping using the following idea:
- Create a trolley for the roamer to pull.
- Make aisles for the roamer to travel along.
- Put pictures of foods along the aisles.
- Ask the students to estimate the distances and turns required to move around the 'shop'.
- Record this information, and then test it, but inputting the information into the roamer!
I have done this with a top group of SLD students after work on estimation and using the roamer. All found it fun.
